Father of American Golf

John Reid, in the late 1800’s, was first named the "Father of American Golf". That title was continued by golf historians such as Herbert Wind Warren and H.B. Martin and I believe it is entirely appropriate.
How many of you have heard of John Reid, very few we would suggest have heard of this man.

Richard B Neiley, Jr, researched his life and produced a report on his life and would like people to know of this story.
